Infractions, And How To Avoid Bans.
« on: August 09, 2012, 05:08:17 am »
Now we have integrated our forum with our in-game accounts it is finally ready to release the new infracion toleration.

Misbehaving on the forum
Recently you might have read topics about how people got all their accounts deleted because of bad behaviour. I am just going to make this pretty clear. From now on - the forum is not a place for critism. The forum is a place where you try to help other people and contribute to this community. The ONLY, and I repeat, ONLY place you are allowed to post critism is here. And the only critism allowed there is critism on recent updates. If you give critism, you need to be able to tell why.
Any user that posts something that has a somewhat negative effect on the community OR staff will be permanently removed with all his accounts. The following things have negative effects:
- Spreading rumours about other players/staff members
- Supposedly "releasing" corruption information. Apparently I'm corrupt because I banned a player called "javonte" that has obviously spread his negative posts all over the forum. Things like that are counted as negative.
- Supposedly trying to solve 'conspiracies'. Or proving 'lies'. You can be your own sherlock holmes at home, but honestly we don't want that stuff on our forum. If something needs to be cleared up or solved the staff will do that.
- Complaining about updates that have not arrived; we are working on a lot of things, posting about those things only makes us waste time reading it. Those posts do not stimulate me nor the developers in any way.
- Directly insulting other members, threatening them, releasing personal information.
SIMPLY SAID:
Before every post you make; Ask yourself "DOES THIS CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY IN A HELPFUL/POSITIVE WAY?". Otherwise you might regret the results of posting it.

If you do not follow those orders we will have to disable all your accounts and never allow you back on Soulsplit. The forum is a place where one post can reach a lot of people at a time. Abusing that will force us into tracking down and banning all your accounts.

I hope that's clear. Now on to the milder rules;
Considered: " y u no ", "PEM PLS", "UMAD" , things like that. We all know what I am talking about. Talking like that makes you (and with that the community) sound like a complete retard.
Spamming:
Considered: "so true", "agreed", "true", "ok", "thanks"; things similar to that are considered spamming. Make sure your post has actual content. Instead of posting "agreed", please post why you agree to a certain thing and which thing applies to you the most. Simple Example: If someone makes a post about a cute kitten please let them know why you love kittens and don't just say yes I love kittens too.
Quitting Threads:
Just quit in peace, don't tell anyone and leave.

OTHER:

Avoiding a ban:
Avoiding a ban will result in us deleting all your Soulsplit accounts off our systems. You will never be able to create another Soulsplit account.

Breaking those rules will result in both your forum and in-game account being banned. If you repeatedly break those rules we will be forced to disable ability to register new accounts or verify old accounts with the forum.

LONG STORY SHORT:
If you have nothing positive to say, don't post at all.

-Honor
